Disneyland Paris: Expensive, chaotic… and yet quite magical

Disneyland Paris wasn’t a trip I was convinced about. Crowds, noise and a lot of walking with a nervous seven-year-old didn’t sound like my idea of a relaxing break. Three days later, after pastries, pirates and the occasional near-death experience on Big Thunder Mountain, I left tired, poorer and unexpectedly impressed.

2025: The year that almost was

I went into 2025 thinking I was fine. Calm, even. No looming health drama, plans broadly in place, confidence suspiciously high. Which, with hindsight, should’ve been a warning. What followed wasn’t a disaster — just a year that quietly took more out of me than I realised, gave a lot back in odd places, and left me rethinking how the hell I want the next one to feel.
